Besara
Ingredients
- 100 gms Pumpkin
- 50 gms Potato
- 50 gms Raw Banana
- 10 gms Soaked Mustard Seeds
- 5 gms Poppy Seeds
- 5 gms Cumin Seeds
- 1 Dry Red Chili
- 7 gms Mustard Oil
- Turmeric, Salt to taste
- Tamarind pulp – 1 tsp
Directions
- Cut vegetables into medium cubes and boil them with salt and turmeric.
- Make a paste of mustard seeds, poppy seeds, cumin, and dry red chili.
- Heat mustard oil, add the paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add the boiled vegetables and mix well.
- Stir in tamarind pulp and cook for 3–4 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice.
- Besara is a flavorful and tangy Odia delicacy.
