Yummy O Yummy Raagi Dumpling
Ingredients
- 50 gms Raagi flour
- 45 gms Skinless chicken
- 25 gms Carrots
- 50 gms Onion
- 1 tsp Garlic & ginger chopped
- 1 Green chillies
- 1 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
- Garam masala powder a pinch
- Turmeric powder a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Hot water as needed
Directions
- For filling: Heat 1 teaspoon full (tsp) of Freedom Refined Sunflower oil in a pan. Sauté onions, garlic and ginger till golden brown.
- Add green chillies and turmeric powder, minced chicken and salt
- Cover and cook on low flame till the chicken is tender
- Add garam masala, coriander leaves, stir till the excess moisture is dried.
- For dough: Boil one cup water with salt. Add the boiling water to raagi flour
- Keep it aside for 5 minutes or till warm enough to handle
- Knead the dough and make it into a soft ball
- Make a medium size ball out of the dough. Take one ball at a time and place it in your palm
- Press it with other hand and make it thin
- Start folding it inwards in such a way that you get a cup shape
- Place 1-2 tsp of filling, cover it and roll it back into a ball
- Steam raagi dumplings in a steamer for 9-10 minutes on medium flame and serve warm
