Bread Rolls are an easy, comforting snack that’s perfect for rainy evenings and lively parties. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, these rolls are filled with a spicy potato mixture that’s loved by all age groups. Ingredients
2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
8 regular bread slices
A bunch of coriander leaves, finely chopped
Green chillies, finely chopped
Red chilli powder, to taste
Salt, to taste
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
Freedom Physically Refined Rice Bran Oil
(Less absorbent, light, and mild in taste—ideal for Indian snack recipes)
Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, chopped green chillies, and coriander leaves. Mix well to form a flavourful filling.
- Take water in a small bowl. Quickly dip a bread slice in water for a few seconds.
- Gently squeeze out excess water by pressing the bread between your palms.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of the potato mixture in the centre of the damp bread.
- Carefully roll and seal the bread, ensuring the filling is completely enclosed.
- Repeat the process with the remaining bread slices and filling.
- Heat Freedom Refined Rice Bran Oil in a kadai over medium flame.
- Deep fry the bread rolls until golden brown and crisp on all sides.
- Remove and drain on absorbent paper.
