Ingredients

  • 50 gms Raagi flour
  • 45 gms Skinless chicken
  • 25 gms Carrots
  • 50 gms Onion
  • 1 tsp Garlic & ginger chopped
  • 1 Green chillies
  • 1 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • Garam masala powder a pinch
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Hot water as needed

Directions

  1. For filling: Heat 1 teaspoon full (tsp) of Freedom Refined Sunflower oil in a pan. Sauté onions, garlic and ginger till golden brown.
  2. Add green chillies and turmeric powder, minced chicken and salt
  3. Cover and cook on low flame till the chicken is tender
  4. Add garam masala, coriander leaves, stir till the excess moisture is dried.
  5. For dough: Boil one cup water with salt. Add the boiling water to raagi flour
  6. Keep it aside for 5 minutes or till warm enough to handle
  7. Knead the dough and make it into a soft ball
  8. Make a medium size ball out of the dough. Take one ball at a time and place it in your palm
  9. Press it with other hand and make it thin
  10. Start folding it inwards in such a way that you get a cup shape
  11. Place 1-2 tsp of filling, cover it and roll it back into a ball
  12. Steam raagi dumplings in a steamer for 9-10 minutes on medium flame and serve warm
