Desi Aloo Chaat

Here is a recipe forAloochaat, the ultimate street food that will keep your hands clean for all the incessant rooting! It takes only minutes to put this together once you have done all your initial prep, so you can whip up this spicy platter right before the game and serve immediately.

Ingredients

  • Green chutney
  • Tamarind chutney
  • 4 medium sized boiled, peeled andcubed potatoes
  • 2 tbspfinely chopped onions
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 ½ finely chopped green chili
  • ½ tspcumin powder
  • ½ tspcoarsely crushed coriander seeds
  • chole (optional) – 100 gms
  • Red chili powder as required
  • Chaat masala as required
  • Lemon juice as required
  • 1-2 tbspoil
  • Black salt to taste
  • Sevas required

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan, add the cubed potatoes and shallow fry until golden brown.
  • In a bowl, add fried potatoes. Toss with cumin powder, red chilli powder, black salt, coriander powder, green chilies, tomatoes,chole, and lemon juice.
  • Dish out the mix, top with tamarind and green chutney, and onions.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala,sev, and coriander leaves
